What is the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)?
The Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) is part of Canada’s Express Entry system, designed to help skilled workers immigrate as permanent residents. This program selects candidates based on their education, work experience, language skills, and adaptability to succeed in Canada.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for the FSWP, you must meet the following criteria:
Work Experience
At least 1 year (12 months) of continuous full-time work experience (or equivalent part-time) in a skilled occupation (NOC 0, A, or B).
Language Skills
- Proficiency in English or French with a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of 7 or higher.
- You must take an approved language test (such as IELTS or TEF) within the last 2 years.
Education
- A Canadian high school diploma or an equivalent foreign qualification.
- Foreign education must be verified through an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA).
